Coordinator of Aquatics
Sharon received her Master of Education from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas and her Bachelor of Applied Studies in Science and Business from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas. Sharon is a certified teacher in the state of Florida for Elementary Education (K-6) and Exceptional Student Education (K-12). Sharon has been a Water Safety Instructor and Lifeguard, certified by the American Red Cross since 2006 for Gulf Coast State College. She is certified level 1 swim coach through USA swimming, and coaching with the Panama City Swim Team since 2008. She is an Aerobics Instructor, certified through the National Exercise and Sports Training Association and a certified PADI Open Water Diver. Sharon became Coordinator of Aquatics spring of 2025.
Christina serves as the Assistant Coordinator of Aquatics at Gulf Coast State College and holds the position of Director at St. Andrew Bay Watch. She earned her Master鈥檚 degree in Wildlife and Fisheries Science from the University of Tennessee (Go Vols!). Christina stepped into her role as Assistant Coordinator of Aquatics in the spring of 2025. She is a certified Water Safety Instructor and Lifeguard Instructor through the American Red Cross for Gulf Coast State College and has been working as a Lifeguard at Gulf Coast since 2022. Furthermore, she is a Level 1 Canoe Instructor certified by the American Canoe Association, a Level 1 Archery Instructor certified by USA Archery, and a certified PADI Advanced Open Water Diver.
